The year of the earth pig has just begun and I adore pigs.
They are clever, clean and sensitive and prefer to sleep nose to nose!
This is Truffles, a 14 karat golden piglet with a wee garnet eye.
Truffles is an ode to new beginnings.
May the year be as wonderful as the pig it is named after.
Oink.

I shaped and sculpted this piglet in soft jewellers wax and he was then cast in 14K gold.
The prints and markings of my design process are still visible in the final piece and give the pig its own, unique voice. After the casting, I finished this ring in my small studio with my own, fairly large hands.

Like all my "Animal Kingdom" pieces, Truffles is a unique piece and entirely handmade with love in my Utrecht studio.
- Cast in solid 14K yellow gold from my original wax design
- Truffles has a dark, dark red, natural garnet eye
- Truffles face is approximately 9 mm wide and at it's highest point (the ear) he is 8.5 mm tall
- The band is approximately 2 mm wide
